Dan Cooper, CPA,
PRESIDENT
Dan’s investments, finance, and regulatory compliance experience spans over three decades. Dan is president of Fuller Investment Management Company and executive director of The Fuller Foundation. Prior to joining Fuller Investment Management Company and The Fuller Foundation, Dan was chief financial officer for the LA YMCA. As CFO, he provided leadership for the financial turnarounds of two YMCA associations. He also held senior management positions at KPMG and Ernst & Young. Dan holds a Master of Science in Taxation from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas State University. He is a certified public accountant and holds a Series 65 securities license.
Todd B. Derrick, MBA,
VICE PRESIDENT, CLIENT ADVISORY SERVICES
Todd has over twenty years of investment management, charitable giving, and finance experience serving individual and institutional investors. As vice president of client advisory services at The Fuller Foundation and Fuller Investment Management Company, he oversees the investment management and charitable giving services for individuals, families, and Fuller Seminary. Since 1998, he has specialized in using advanced investment strategies to help clients reach their financial and philanthropic goals. Prior to joining the foundation, Todd spent seven years in public accounting, specializing in complex tax matters relating to individuals, partnerships, charitable trusts, and estates. He worked in commercial real estate investment sales and leasing for five years with an international commercial real estate brokerage firm. Todd holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business from Westmont College. He holds a Series 65 securities license.
Brian Rietze, CPA,
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Brian is chief financial officer of Fuller Investment Management Company and The Fuller Foundation. He worked in public accounting at a Pasadena-based firm before joining the foundation in 2012. Brian is responsible for the accounting, finance, audit, and tax functions of the organization. He also oversees administration of the investment funds and various endowments/scholarships benefiting Fuller Seminary as well as the brokerage accounts, charitable trusts, and donor-advised funds set up for friends of Fuller. Brian is an active member of his church and serves as chairman of the board for a local nonprofit organization. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting degree from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Alyse Lee,
CLIENT SERVICES MANAGER
Alyse is client services manager at Fuller Investment Management Company and director of stewardship at The Fuller Foundation. She is responsible for maintaining strong client and donor relationships; managing the administration of brokerage accounts, endowment funds, donor-advised funds, and charitable trusts; and overseeing overall communications. Alyse brings more than ten years of experience in the philanthropic sector and financial services industry and joined the Foundation in 2017. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University, Bloomington.
Tristan Ruiz,
INVESTMENT FINANCIAL ANALYST
Tristan is an investment financial analyst at Fuller Investment Management Company. Prior to joining the firm in early 2022, he worked as a financial representative for a Fortune 90 company. Tristan handles a number of investment-related functions, including trading and portfolio administration, and works closely with the various vendors, custodians, consultants, and third-party administrators utilized by the firm. He also takes lead on client reporting and helps the team with analysis on portfolios and positions. Tristan is an active member of his local church. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
